Affixed to Music

Listening to a well composed piece of music is something very close to state of euphoria to me. Every time I listen to a song I hear something different. It’s easy to pick out and isolate different elements that are interesting to follow. Honestly, I could count music as a hobby of mine. It’s interesting and fun to search for and find all new genres, bands, and songs. It sort of feel likes something I collect. I really like adding any song I enjoy to my ever expanding library of music, which is currently over one thousand different songs. I must have already spent over two-hundred and fifty dollars in iTunes gift cards this year! I even find some kind of twisted joy in organizing my music, keep in mind I am generally not an organized person. I like to look up and learn the lyrics to any song I hear that really grabs me. Sometimes singing along to those lyrics can be enough to send butterflies into my stomach.
The music that I’m listening to sets the mood to what ever I’m doing. I’ve created a couple playlists that I use depending on my mood. For example, one is titled “love love” and another is titled “SCREAM”, I have fun with my titles. Music is always there to cheer me up, get me motivated, or calm me down. When I’m all by myself I can just turn on a song that relates to whatever I’m having issues about, something that I’m sure will brighten my mood, or even something with a load of screaming to help me chill out. The worst though is when I put all of my music on shuffle. My already unpredictable mood becomes even more turbulent! It’s a little amusing really.
I take every chance I get to listen to the music I love. I’m listening to music as I type this! In the morning it wakes me up, and while I’m getting ready it helps me stay awake. When ever I get in the car I’m sure to have my iPod with me, to keep me entertained on boring drives. I listen to music while I read, use my computer, do homework, and when I fall asleep. Whenever I’m not listening to music I’ll usually think of a song I discovered recently or start singing one of my favorites.
As you can see music is one of my passions in life. The ultimate would definitely be creating music to make people all over the world as happy as I am.
